M.A.C’s cult following highlighter line is dropping full-on. The brand is extending the strobe family with a range targeted to specific skin concerns. The globally loved product started a couple of seasons ago when at Altuzarra in New York makeup artist Tom Pecheux used the golden tone to create a highlighting dimension to the cheekbones of models who wear a matte, Georgia O’Keeffe–painting eye. At Hervé Léger, makeup artist Val Garland was such a fan that she used a combination of all the colors above the cheekbones. Benjamin Puckey also used the peach cream at Costume National in Milan. In London, Lucia Pieroni used the peach at Jonathan Saunders. She also used it in Milan at MSGM and Missoni, capping it off in Paris at McQueen and Emanuel Ungaro. “It’s just beautiful, isn’t it?” Pieroni said at McQueen. “I’m obsessed with it.”

M.A.C’s Strobe Cream was one of the first illuminating creams to hit the market, and to this day, is a staple in many make-up kits worldwide. The four new shades of peach, gold, pink and silver are specifically designed to de-stress, hydrate, de-snooze, or simply freshen your look. The new products are created with the same potent botanicals, antioxidants and pearlescent pigments that make the M.A.C cream so ideal. The cream is sheer so you can see skin through it whilst it holds a balanced shine.

The tip from the pros: for an all-over-glow look, apply a dollop over your moisturiser, but if you simply want to accentuate your features, dab it directly onto certain areas of your face.

The new line of shades will arrive to Australia in January, 2017, a post-Christmas goodie.
