The German sportswear brand Puma is strengthening its ties with the luxury fashion industry through a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld.
Karl Lagerfeld, who serves as creative director for Chanel, Fendi and his eponymous label, recently announced a partnership with Puma on his Instagram account and the collaborative capsule collection with items for both men and women has now dropped.
The 13-piece basics collection is in honor of the 50th anniversary of Puma’s original Suede sneaker. As a result, Lagerfeld created two unisex Suede sneakers inspired by his signature look of a tuxedo jacket, high white collar and tie; the sneakers even come with a playful ‘Karl’ graphic, or a removable sunglasses detail.
The collaboration also includes a women’s track jacket with formal lapel collars and a men’s body-hugging hoodie/track pants combo, finishing off the collaborative capsule with a small accessory lineup.
The collection is available to shop now.
